GRACK FILMS ANNOUNCES THE LAUNCH OF

FOGTOWN at CANNES

THE MOVIE… THE ZINE… THE MYTHOLOGY… THE BREAKFAST!

Fogtown Eco-Punk Storytellers Breakfast
May 23 11pm-1pm • American Pavilion

“If we change our dreams we may be able to change our future,” says award-winning Sundance veteran Ari Gold, creator of an eco-nova being launched at Cannes at a breakfast event on May 23 from 11am-1pm at the American Pavilion.

At the first-ever Fogtown Eco-Punk Storytellers Breakfast, Ari’s company Grack Films is bringing together producers, actors, financiers, creators and activists, to find new ways of infusing urgent ecological awareness into mainstream filmmaking.

Issue 1 of “The Fogtown Zine,” also dropping at the event, includes conversations between activists & creators, ranging from Robert Sheehan (Umbrella Academy), Rosanna Arquette, Natasha Leggero, Dallas Goldtooth, environmental lawyer Steven Donziger, Cannes opening-night musician Ricky Kej, and Protozoa Pictures’ Eric Watson. It also includes a preview of an environment-driven cultural juggernaut: an eco-punk action-adventure movie, comic book, and tv series called “Fogtown.”

“To change our culture, we need to bring together the best creative minds in the world,” says Gold, whose directing credits include The Song of Sway Lake, Adventures of Power and student-Oscar-winner Helicopter. “There was a moment several years ago, when I'd abandoned hope for both humanity and the planet,” he says. "A chance invitation to join an underground bicycle club led me to the transformative international vision at the heart of Fogtown."

Join Grack Films and the Fogtown zine France street-team (Ari Gold, Jay Ponti, Michelle Stratton, Johanna Reckewerth) along with creators & activists from around the world as they share ways of making entertaining films that also awaken audiences to our connection with Mother Earth.
